Walt Disney World is the largest entertainment complex in the world (all together 47 square miles). Only one quarter of the area is used and the park continues to grow and new hotels are built.

 The different parks are built with the love for details and attire with its attractions around 30 million visitors every year. The first theme park in Florida was Magic Kingdom and it was opened in 1971. From that year over 300 million visitors came to this particular park. The main visiting times are Christmas, June-August and February until Easter.

To see all the attractions in the different parks you should plan your visit at least for one week. Buggy / Stroller in Walt Disney World

At the park entrance families with young children can lease a children's buggy so that their little ones can enjoy a relaxed stay. If you visit an attraction with your children then you leave the buggy simply at the entrance of the attraction.

If you have marked "your" buggy with a personal tape or ribbon then the buggy will still be there when you return. Otherwise take simply another there standing buggy and continue your visit.

Handicapped in Walt Disney World

Even the disabled people are particularly supported at Walt Disney World. On the one hand you can order a special companion who gets you through the park. You can also use at the attractions the particular handicapped entrance and you must not wait in line.
However, Disney companion will not lift you out of your wheelchair. This is prohibited for safety reasons. Please understand that.

Fast Pass Walt Disney World

Normally you have to wait at each attraction in line for entering them. Some attractions in the parks offer the so-called “Fast Pass”. This pass is available at special vending machines. There you insert your ticket receipt and you get the ticket back inclusive with a reservation ticket for a later use of the attraction.

Depending on the number of visitors in the park the waiting time may be at least a half hour up to more than 2 hours. You can use the waiting time for a ride at other attractions and then come back at the reservation time. When you come back, you enter the attraction through a separate entrance and can take immediately the ride.

Health hints at Walt Disney World

Please take care of the instructions at the various attractions. Some attractions are very hard for the heart and the blood pressure and you should in no case use these rides if you suffer from such health problems.

There are also some rides which have requirements for children's height. You should not ignore such requirements because the safety belt and restraint system do not work properly for smaller children and injuries are possible.

Pins at Walt Disney World

A few years ago the parks started to issue special events badges or pins. These pins can be purchased for prices between $ 6-15 at the pin stations throughout the park. Some pins are more wanted than others and so these pins may increase in value.

If you stay for your visit in one of the Walt Disney Resort you often get a first-rate gift pin. If you already have pins and you get more than one pin from each kind than you can exchange these pins with certain employees in the park. This marketing idea becomes more and more popular among the park visitors.

Backstage Tour at Walt Disney World

For visitors who are interested in activities behind the scenes of Walt Disney Parks may take so-called backstage tours.
