Traveling with children in Florida, USA.

The Americans are very child friendly and offer different benefits for families with children. 

In the bigger car rental companies there are often suitable child seat available on request. Small car rentals which are often cheaper this service is not always available. We therefore recommend that you should ask and choose the car which offers the rental of a child seat.

In restaurants there is often special children's menu list which you will be provided without request. In buses and trains children less than 12 years pay mostly 50% less fare for a ride.

In the great entertainment parks there are some attractions with a size limitation, for example children must have a certain height to enter into these rides. These measures are safety regulations for the benefit of your children. The attractions often drive at high speeds and with large gravitational forces act on the body which can result health problems to young children.

For smaller children you can usually rent a so-called stroller at the entrance of the big amusement parks. You can get a buggy for smaller kids and a plastic wheelbarrow for bigger kids.

If you loose your kid despite of intensive observation in the turmoil of amusement parks there is enough supervision staff that looks for these lost children and takes them to the “Lost-and-Found-Areas”. There you may pick up your children.
