The main time zone in Florida is Eastern Time. That means if it is in Frankfurt 3 pm in the afternoon then it is in Miami 9 am in the morning. 

The next time zone begins in the range of Apalachicola. This city is located on the Gulf Coast about 60 miles (=100 KM) in the west of Tallahassee the capital of Florida. This time zone is Central Time and the time difference from Germany is there 7 hours.

Regardless of these time zones there is also the time change known as a daylight saving (=Summer time in Europe). This time change applies from 1st Sunday of April to last Sunday of October. The clocks are just turned forward for one hour like in Europe. That means that the time difference between Europe and the United States is also change for the period when daylight saving time is active in Germany but not yet in the United States.

This happens every year at the beginning of the daylight saving time because Germany already changes the time at the end of March. The end of daylight saving time is same in both countries.
