In addition to the Fast Food Florida has many other culinary specialties to offer.

Florida is a country well known for its oranges. You will receive as a welcome drink a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice in the Visitor Center at Highway when you enter Florida from the north on one of the main roads.

Besides the oranges there are also kumquat, papaya, kiwi and limes grown in Florida. These fruits are often used in fruit cocktails or offered as desserts. A particular specialty of Florida is the Key Lime Pie which you can buy everywhere in the Keys and at the Key Lime Pie Factory in Key West.

Because of the geographic location of Florida there is also eaten a lot of fish and seafood. A specialty is Stone Crab Claws which are caught from October to April. Only during this time this specialty is offered.

The Floridian like to deep-fry. You can get everywhere the small meat and fried fish chunks with spicy sauce. If you are not fried of small chunks you can also get spare ribs or steaks in every style you want.

The curious visitors we recommend a trip into the Cuban and Caribbean cuisine. These dishes are usually served with beef or chicken and cook fried bananas, black beans and rice.
