Florida is located in the subtropics so the sunlight is very intense and after a short time a skin injury in the form of sunburn may result.

To prevent unhealthy sunburn we recommend using the suntan lotion depending on skin type the sun protection factor should be at least of 20 or higher.

You should not be the whole day in the sun because there are many other interesting activities to enjoy your vacation. Doing these activities you also can get a healthy tan skin.

For your protection on the beach please put on a sun hat and slippers. The hat prevents your hair from bleaching out and your head from sunstroke.

The slippers will protect you from the hot sand which is sometimes on the way to the water very uncomfortable. The beaches have mostly fine crumble sand but there are also natural beaches such as the Dry Tortugas. There are many picky pieces in the coral sand and torture you on the way to the water. In this case the slippers are absolutely necessary to avoid injuries.
